About Pippa & Piper

Ever since I can remember, I have always been a huge mummy’s girl and an even bigger girly girl.  I become hypnotized with anything pink, sparkly and/or leopard print and I am obsessed with ruffles, lace, bows, polka dots and ribbon.  I still collect Barbie dolls, decorate and redecorate my dollhouse, play dress-up any and every chance that I get and I hate when people sit on my bed in their “street clothes.”  I get my nails done religiously (black gel every single time), I enjoy cleaning & organizing for no particular reason and I drive a Mini Cooper convertible but never put the top down due to my constant anti-wrinkle prevention pursuit.  I eat Mexican food almost every single day (El Compadre or bust), I don’t eat meat but I do overindulge in sweets, and at times, consume too much alcohol.  I love weekends in Palm Springs, visiting my BFF in San Francisco, going to Soop Sok Karaoke in Koreatown with my BF, wild nights in Las Vegas, watching the sunset in Miami, being a tourist in London, shopping in Paris, exploring NYC and doing just about anything in Oregon (Oregonian, born and raised).

I love Chinese parasols, tiny trinkets, trampolines, anything Hello Kitty, vanities, Christmas lights year round, Bernie Madoff books (WHAT the heck was he thinking?!?!?), the Investigation Discovery “ID” channel, fish tail braids, paint-it yourself pottery studios, day glow, novelty socks, Garth Brooks on Pandora, hair extensions, Forever 21 earrings, blush & bronzer, Urban Outfitters, Marshalls, Goodwill, Net-A-Porter, farmer’s markets, flea markets, garage sales, Etsy, picture frames, valet and/or just rolling up in an Uber car, space heaters, friendship bracelets and rummaging through my nana’s closet or anyone else that will let me.  Last, but certainly not least, I hold my family members, a few close friends, my boyfriend and my two precious pups very near and dear to my heart.

Pippa Francesca is my intuitive lil 7-year old Tiny Toy Parti-Poodle.  She gets embarrassed, shy, proud, mad, sad, depressed, ashamed, happy, restless and agitated.  She is very smart, super judgmental, extremely loyal, protective, elegant and graceful.  She has long legs, bad teeth, kinky hair, co-dependent issues and the cutest prance that I have ever seen.  She loves wearing dresses, showing off, sleeping under the covers, eating chips, sipping chardonnay, going on car rides, running on the beach, playing in the park and cuddling at home.  She has also been with me since the very beginning and would cross an ocean if that’s what it took to get to me.

Then there is my sweet lil tomboy, Piper Alexander.  She is my 5-year old Teacup Maltese and such a character!  There isn’t a day that goes by that she doesn’t make me laugh.  She is always dirty, doesn’t like visitors, howls when she feels left behind, loves having her belly rubbed, hates wearing clothes, has beautiful locks & big humanlike eyes, sleeps in weird places, loves to eat meat and guards her snacks from Pippa with all of her might.  She is such a lil homebody too and if it were up to her, she would never leave the house and when she does, she wants to be carried the entire time.  She is also very independent but still loves being my tiny-faced baby girl.  I honestly don’t know what I would do without them.  They are my best friends and I thank God for them each and every day.

My favorite movies (in no particular order) are Home Alone, Clueless, Gone with the Wind, Factory Girl, Overboard, The Help, Pretty Woman, Boyz in Da Hood, 16 Candles, Fear, Troop Beverly Hills, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, Drop Dead Fred, YaYa Sisterhood, Homeward Bound, Sex and the City 1 & 2 and Dirty Dancing, just to name a few.  I hate to sound cliché but I have to admit that fashion motivates and inspires me.  I love anything and everything vintage, especially one-of-a-kind pieces.  And whether new or old, I am a HUGE sucker for almost all shoes (Keds, Converse high-tops, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, Salt Water Sandals, which I still own from grade school, etc.), overalls, dresses, coats, jean jackets, oversized men’s flannel shirts, ponchos, bags, gloves, anything leather, mini-skirts, acid wash denim, Levi jean shorts (I have just about every color imaginable), vintage fur (I would never wear, support or purchase new or recently manufactured fur), anything high-waisted, jumpers/jumpsuits - the list goes on and on and on… These are the things that cheer me up when I feel sad, lift me up when I am down, make me feel pretty when I am feeling ugly, make me feel skinny when I am bloated and make me feel rich when I am on a budget.
